Everything you need to know before your journey with UpRise.

UpRise Advanced Height Solutions is a specialised limb lengthening centre founded in 2025 by Dr. Hüseyin Kavak in Istanbul, Turkey. We combine Dr. Kavak's surgical expertise with a dedicated team of medical tourism professionals to offer international patients a complete, end-to-end experience — from initial consultation and travel coordination to surgery, recovery, and aftercare.

Three things set us apart. First, Dr. Kavak personally performs every surgery and follows every patient — we don't delegate your care to rotating surgeons. Second, he limits the number of surgeries per week to ensure each patient receives the same quality of attention. Third, our team handles every logistical detail — accommodation, transfers, physiotherapy, medication, and daily support — so you can focus entirely on your recovery.

UpRise was built specifically for international patients. Our team includes medical tourism professionals with over 10 years of experience. We provide English-speaking support throughout your journey, coordinate your entire stay, and are experienced in working with patients from Europe, the Middle East, North America, and beyond.

Our surgical packages typically include the surgery itself, hospital stay, all prescribed medications and medical supplies, dressing materials, a walker and crutches, all necessary pre-operative tests and examinations, hospital-airport-hotel transfers, fixator removal surgery (for LON patients), and one night of hotel accommodation before surgery. Accommodation and physiotherapy packages are available separately and can be tailored to your planned length of stay. The exact inclusions are confirmed in your personal Treatment Agreement.

Yes. After you return to your home country, our team remains available via WhatsApp for guidance, questions, and remote follow-up. You can share X-ray images with Dr. Kavak for evaluation, and we'll advise on your recovery progress. For certain milestones — such as nail removal surgery — you would need to return to Istanbul.

Dr. Hüseyin Kavak is an Orthopaedics and Traumatology specialist who has performed over 400 successful limb lengthening surgeries. He graduated from Gülhane Military Medical Academy, completed his specialisation at Bursa Uludağ University, and has held senior roles at leading institutions including Liv Hospital Ulus — a globally recognised centre for international patients. He is also the founder of UpRise Advanced Height Solutions.

Since 2022, Dr. Kavak has served as a sports physician at Fenerbahçe Sports Club, one of Turkey's most prestigious professional sports organisations. Working with elite athletes has deepened his understanding of biomechanics, recovery optimisation, and performance outcomes — expertise he applies directly to his limb lengthening practice.

Yes. Dr. Kavak personally performs every limb lengthening surgery at UpRise. He also conducts weekly check-ins during your recovery and is directly involved in monitoring your progress through X-rays and follow-up consultations. This is not a high-volume clinic with rotating surgeons — your surgeon knows your case inside out.

Dr. Kavak is experienced in all three major limb lengthening methods: LON (Lengthening Over Nail), Precice (internal magnetic nail), and Fitbone (internal motorised nail). He does not promote a single method — instead, he recommends the most suitable option based on your anatomy, goals, lifestyle, and budget during your personal consultation.

Absolutely. We offer a free initial consultation where you can discuss your goals, ask questions, and understand the process. Once you arrive in Istanbul, you will have a comprehensive in-person consultation with Dr. Kavak — including X-rays, blood tests, and an anaesthesiology review — before any commitment to surgery.

We recommend staying in Istanbul for at least the first 2–3 weeks after surgery. During this time, you'll receive hands-on physiotherapy, learn your exercise routine, and have close medical supervision. Many patients choose to stay longer (30, 60, or 90 days) depending on their comfort level and recovery goals. Once you've mastered your exercises and feel confident, you can return home and continue recovery remotely with our team's support.

We offer hotel or private apartment options selected specifically for post-operative comfort. All accommodations are spacious, clean, wheelchair-accessible, and located in the area Dr. Kavak prefers for convenient follow-up care. You'll have daily room cleaning, fresh towels and sheets, free Wi-Fi, and everything you need for a comfortable long-term stay. If you prefer to arrange your own accommodation, we can assist — it just needs to be in the approved area.

We handle all transportation from the moment you land. A private VIP vehicle picks you up at the airport and brings you to your accommodation. All hospital visits, follow-up appointments, and your eventual return to the airport are covered by our transfer service. No taxis, no confusion — just comfortable, discreet transport throughout your stay.

Yes. Physiotherapy is a critical part of your recovery and is included in our accommodation packages. A professional physiotherapist comes directly to your accommodation for one-on-one sessions tailored to your progress. Sessions focus on mobility, flexibility, strengthening, and walking technique. The goal is to make sure you're confident and independent with your exercises before you return home.

No. We bring the X-rays to you. Our mobile X-ray service visits your accommodation approximately every 2–3 weeks to monitor bone regeneration and lengthening progress. This means fewer hospital trips and more comfort during your recovery.

Absolutely, and we encourage it. Having a family member or friend with you — especially during the first 1–2 weeks — can make a meaningful difference to your comfort and motivation. Our accommodation options can comfortably host a companion. While many patients manage independently with our team's daily support, the emotional support of someone close to you is always welcome.

You have 24/7 access to our patient support team via WhatsApp and phone. Whether it's a medical concern, a request for supplies, or simply needing someone to talk to, we're always reachable. Your patient coordinator will also check in regularly and can assist with day-to-day needs throughout your stay.

Surgeries are performed at accredited hospitals in Istanbul that meet international healthcare standards. The specific hospital will be confirmed during your consultation and included in your Treatment Agreement. All facilities are equipped with modern operating theatres, ICU capability, and English-speaking medical staff.

The typical hospital stay is 3–4 nights for bilateral (femur or tibia) procedures and 4–5 nights for quadrilateral (femur and tibia) procedures. During this time, you'll receive pain management, begin early physiotherapy, take your first steps with a walker, and be monitored by the medical team before discharge to your accommodation.

Before surgery, we conduct a full set of examinations including leg X-rays, blood tests, and an anaesthesiology consultation. These are all arranged by our team and performed on the day before your surgery. You'll also have a detailed in-person consultation with Dr. Kavak to finalise your treatment plan.

Yes. All prescribed medications are included in your surgical package — pain management, antibiotics, blood thinners, and bone-healing supplements. Dressing materials and medical supplies are also provided and personally managed by Dr. Kavak and the medical team throughout your recovery.

Dr. Kavak conducts weekly check-ins during your stay in Istanbul. You'll also have regular X-ray reviews (approximately every 2–3 weeks) to track bone regeneration and lengthening progress. If any concern arises between scheduled visits, our team can arrange an earlier consultation.

Complications are rare but can happen with any surgical procedure. If any issue arises during your stay, you have 24/7 access to our team and Dr. Kavak can intervene promptly. All complication management during your treatment period is handled by our medical team. This is one of the key reasons we recommend staying in Istanbul for the initial recovery phase.

Simply fill out the consultation form on our website or send us a message on WhatsApp. Our team will arrange a free initial consultation where we assess your general suitability, answer your questions, and explain your options. There's no commitment at this stage — it's a conversation to help you make an informed decision.

Turkey offers visa-free entry or e-visa access for citizens of many countries. Requirements vary depending on your nationality. We recommend checking the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs website or your nearest Turkish consulate for the most current information. Our team can provide general guidance, but visa arrangements are the patient's responsibility.

We strongly recommend travel insurance that covers medical treatment abroad, including emergency evacuation. While complications are uncommon, having proper insurance gives you an extra layer of security. Some patients' home countries may also require proof of insurance for extended stays abroad.

Payment details, accepted methods, and deposit requirements are confirmed in your Treatment Agreement. All pricing is in Euros (EUR). Specific payment terms — including any instalment options — are discussed with your patient coordinator during the planning phase.

We recommend reaching out at least 4–6 weeks before your preferred surgery date. Because Dr. Kavak limits the number of procedures per week, availability can fill up. Early planning also gives you enough time to arrange travel, accommodation, and any personal preparations. That said, we're always happy to accommodate urgent timelines when possible.

We pick you up from the airport and transfer you to your pre-arranged accommodation. The first day is usually free to rest and settle in. If you arrive early in the morning, we may schedule your consultation and pre-operative tests on the same day. The next day typically includes hospital examinations, blood tests, X-rays, an anaesthesiology consultation, and a comprehensive face-to-face meeting with Dr. Kavak. Surgery is usually scheduled for day three.

Yes. The initial online consultation is completely free and carries no obligation. It's an opportunity for you to ask questions, share your goals, and understand whether limb lengthening is the right choice for you. You only commit when you're ready — and only after you've reviewed and signed a Treatment Agreement.
